The story of my one who loves horses......

when I first saw Jimmy...he was sitting outside of the building https://edison.fresnounified.org/where Ollie had leadership AP Euro, French 3,French 4 AP French, AP LIt AP Lang...but I was headed there to speak with one of my kiddos...one of my student's teachers about some accommodations for them that needed to be met for their BIP. He would be sitting there ...everytime it seemed I would be going there...like I am not sur eif he would run ahead and park himself there...but he always had on a Saints beanie...and a huge smile ...and it was always "Hery Ms. Alix, how are you today ..." super polite...or grab the door.....I didn't know that he and Ollie were talking...yet or maybe they weren't yet ...maybe he was doing ground work ahead of time....but that was 2014 and still there weren't that many Saints fan especially not around in middle and high school campuses in Fresno California which is predominantly Raider and or 49'er territory...or LA RAMS...or San Diego Chargers...etc etc etc....but he always gave me a wholesome honest warm feeling...just innocent and kind....

 

When Ollie and Jimmy first started hanging out and talking I felt so badly because I would slip cuss words...( not on site at school , but if they were in the car...I cuss up a storm...like a sailor....and pretty sure it made Jimmy blush...although how can you tell....(lol.....hahahahha!!!), because he did not even say one cuss word...his momma would never have allowed tha or his grandma or anyone else...and so I think I might have been the first grown women he had ever seen cuss like a sailor.

 

It would be like two years before I found out his secret....well it wasn't a secret really...but every time I went into him and Ollie's room when he wasn't at raining camp, workshops, track practice basketball practice wrestling practice football practice and or any of those games...he was on her laptop or on a tablet so I just thought he was watching footage ..or who knows some current tv show or something...but then I asked one day ...and they , Ollie said he is probably watching a horse, and or pony show....and I said what ???? And then they showed me his favorites list and I have never seen so many television shows vintage tv shows, from the 50's , movies videos..anything about a horse or a pony he had it ...tv series about horses...his favorite...and he has never ever gotten to even ride a horse...which is the real heart breaker....When I think of that skank as giraffe gangling whore Marya and that little bitch piece of shit daughter of hers going to riding lessons right around the corner on Dakota ...right near where Jimmy and his mother and little sister and autiee live....to private lessons...while doing this shit to me Jiimy Ollie and Xan I , prison is all I can say to that fckng bitch..go to prison bitch before you meet an even more gruesome ending then you could ever fckng imagine in your filthiest most evil sinister little slithering fucking whore brain.

I taught To Kill a Mockingbird…and the desperation I felt…the crippling of trying to facilitate access to such sophisticated language and style of writing coupled with era laden sayings and a southern drawl and tone, of the day, into a West Side Fresno Title One SDC 10th grade class….was, well, one of the greatest and most difficult and important things I have ever, or will ever attempt, I am sure of it.

It was so crucial ….to explore the ugliness of it all, the tragedy, and the dynamics of the white woman using inherent biases and stereotypes to hang a man, just so her husband and his friends could remain comfortable with the racist Klan status quo. So blatant, it is vulgar.

Literally, vulgar, the racism so sinister and blatant, and subversive ,all at the same time, twisted like a perverse vine. In your face, and yet cynical and sublime…dripping always with patronizing sarcasm.

SCARY.

Awwh, but Peck, because I integrate the classic movie and the text, so important to see the anguish he faced dealing with the vulgarity of his people. His family friends, his neighbors, his home, and his quaint little town, if you just leave well enough alone.

I felt so privileged to be standing there in 2015 and not there, in that courtroom, or in Boo Radley’s back yard, or in that town…but I was , right there, then in that town in 2015, with it all around me swallowing me …swallowing up all of us………………………….

It was like hearing something un real when Jimmy told me the story about the judge. It not to continue to use an already grossly incorrectly and over used word, but literally ,stunned me. The judge said, just like something straight out of To Kill A Mockingbird, that because “how can anybody tell them apart, we’ll just have to charge both of them”, because they both had braids/dreds. It was so vulgar and brutal to be Peck and be White.

But then recently I realized they set the other boy up too. They literally did a Two for one, and used the one boy as a clone or double to commit the crime, for the card…to play on and play off of that card…to run a game or a hand, a racist trick, using human beings , like staged people puppets, on a two for oner’. And, charged them both for the one crime, which then I realized was staged and scripted, enacted as fiction, but they both did real time.

 

Jimmy Gray is one of the most honest human beings I have ever met....so when weird stuff started happening at Judy's it really rubbed me the wrong way, but now I realize he was being set up for the crash. coach Perk*** worked tirelessly with Jimmy because he had such strong work ethic , was so gifted and talented, and showed up and made ALL the PLAYS...he literally could have played both sides of the ball in every football game. He was DI ringed Football and Basketball...2 nice nice Di Divisions rings from the same season...holy fuck!!!! Also state champion placer in hurdles for track....and di wrestling ..and jokingly asked him about baseball....because I already knew he could never have considered another sport...and he comes back that in all seriousness ...yes he made the team , indicating he made it to camp and try outs...and through cuts....but his track coach thought maybe he might be spreading himself too thin so he reluctantly had to give one sport up....

I have always thought ...because I am a dancer ...and consider tha my primary gift...ability, I guess talent...that I was pretty athletic....well according to 23 and me...I have no athletic genetics whatsoever...I was so pissed off about this...how dare they, don't they know who the f I am ????lol!!!! I was  a all blue ribboned first place back stoke swimmer,ok  i had 3/4 of a box of red ones too...but no green or yellow ones , ever... junior olympian synchronized swimmer, did tap ballet, jazz acrobats, ashtanga, rafting, kayaking ,horseback riding englishhttps://www.tasisengland.org/ and western, roller skating ,ice skating ,roller blading, downhill skiinghttps://www.brillantmont.ch/ ,cross country skiing, telemarking water skiing..rock climbing..stand up paddle...motorcross, just about everything.....tennis , etc fencing, flamenco,http://www.flamencoartacademy.com/academy/Welcome.html and probably a whole bunch more stuff lessons, and recreational interest which required physical ability of some kind spelunking ...caving....https://cavetouring.com/hiking, biking ,trail and cross country cycling ...pretty much all of it ....and here 21 & me is telling me no you have no genetic pre disposition to being athletic...they did however say I was Jewish,( which I already knew from when my friend Kim Murp** my roomate in NewOrleans, returned from Ogden in the early 90's and had researched my last name and found that it was of Jewish origins...) and according to 21 & Me I am  related to Einstein but did not say that this genetically made me smarter...(.just a little fyi...that statistics are available in terms of genetics for athletics, and well it is predominantly African Americans who score the very highest in this area ....that is a fact according to 23https://www.23andme.com/ and me genetics data...).because it said I had no athletic genetics ..I was sketchy on all the precursors for athleticism...(they gave me no data on Intelligence and Einstein after all....lol, SEE?) until we took Jimmy gray snowboarding for the first time in his life and only the second time to ever see snow...and let me preface all of this by saying XAn is my child...who climbed building when he was 3 years old...and then fell off because he did not even have the developmental ability yet to register that kind of depth perception....and he ,did not learn or pick up snowboarding as quickly as Jimmy Gray.

Literally did not fall one time.

I swear to god...got on a snowboard and did not fall once...not one time....never skateboarded...didn't fall once...was a teenager now, not a little 5 year old getting thrown on a snowbaord ...a teenager....and was doing jumps ..I think, maybe by lunch...and that afternoon when Ollie and I went in ..he went with Xan who was working there and living there grooming the features park and snowboarding every fckng day ...Jiimmy went hiking with all of them where they take shovels and shit and make their own jumps...in th e outback...I told Jimmy not to go ..."don't go anywhere with a bunch of white guys into the woods or outback if they are bringing shovels, that is a fuck no!!!!!"....he is braver than me ...in that regard...and not as hysterical about racism...
