Earth soil and ground I guess I came to feel that I owned a little piece of....myself, entitled to me not by the 77k of farmland my stepfather ACTUAALLY owned, but because of how it made me feel, simple, slowed down, basic, which for me is my natural state of being ,truthfully, was constantly being thrust into pretentious, precocious, pseudo -sophisticated hob knobbing chatty-nests, name dropping networkers, opportunists, swindlers, a constant flow of flake fakes as fuck backstabbers, jealous ridden smiles ,envy, swarms of very very dressed up "beautiful people".

Fresno became a hideout for me, because NO ONE on earth I knew would ever ever GO THERE, or look for ANYONE there, and I loved it that way.

And, Leland was always , mostly there, so while still under 18, there were times when I could not avoid Fresno even if I tried.

The wholesome honest, hard days work, Scottish Catholic Farmer side of the Republican John Wayne, Ronnie Reagan California San Joaquin Valley , which I admit has been so painful to realize that I naively refused to see what had been just below the surface brewing and building there for decades, the flip side ,the dark side, the Klan side, the corruption, coercion nepotistic and lethal sinister side of Americana, and it has been the most brutal devastating awakening not only of what the valley has , but what humanity , men, and women, who play Christianity, and righteousness, like twisted con artist face cards of spin ,to cover for hate, and greed.

I have been sober 21 years now, and one part of the spiritual principles of our 7th Tradition has taught me that what a man , or woman, does with their money is a reflection of their values integrity , priorities. When I started looking at my spending this way I became much more conscious of who and what I really am, and started to use money as a toll to validate my spiritual worth instead of how I had always used money before , which was to destroy myself and everything around me. I learned to align my finances, dollars , money matters with spiritual principles and it cleaned my whole life up so much.

The most glaring and blatant successful role model I had in my real everyday life was of course, Leland Joseph McCarthy. While Sean Meg Judy Katherine and I whispered (outside of his ear shot) and under our breath and to ourselves about how Leland never engaged in any get rich quick anything. Everything was a 10 year or longer running "investment", which never included making money any other way outside of the earth as a primary player, providing resources for other human beings. A super clean cycle actually and he stuck to it .If he did this intentionally because of any spiritual principles I will never know sadly, except for he told me to "Join the human race", which I drank over and behind as a burning resentment for nearly 2 decades, but 21 years ago , I did just that, joined the "human" race, so I can deduce that he was the most humble giant that I will ever know that has literally FED hundreds of millions of other human beings.

I have also learned that very often it is not what we are doing , but more importantly what we are not doing which is a good show of character and values, and I know Leland never was interested in developing parking lots and shopping malls, suburban track neighborhoods out of his farmland, ever. In fact , he once told me with an eerie prophetic tone that one day there will be a blanket of lights and development and no breaks between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

At that time , the 80's and my age, youth, I knew he was serious , but could not fathom it , that, what that even really meant to me, or anybody, or farming, or nature or the environment, or global warming, or food production or that people were being killed already to make that happen.

It is all so evil, so corrupt, not the politics the developers , the fraud the forgery , the coercion, the death-ing, the crooked lawyers and insurance companies, although that is all evil and gross, but i am so angry and selfishly wounded that I have to know about any of this shit. I don't want my soul and heart raped of my sweet safe wholesomeness that was ...I do not want to wake up to any of this filth grotesqueness, and know that it even exist in this world let alone in a mob of friends and family past associates, law enforcements, public servants that I have lived and worked and raised my babies around...it has just been so fucking traumatic, on so many levels.

I don't want to know that the party of my stepfather from the age of 11, has become this base of filthy fake porno fraud robbing murdering deep fake MOB of criminals crooks and spin doctors...I'd rather not see that, and would like it to be , I guess how it never really ever was ,in reality. And, I don't want to know the hypocrisy of the democratic party, that fly flags for all of their "issues" and "genders", and have no place for me and my daughter; no flag, no care, no safety, no protection ,no Constitution , no Civil Rights for a plain ole hetero mono white innocent woman and her children, entrenched and enmeshed in their politico seasoning and timing. I don't want my USA to be any of that, but what choices do I have? Show me something else , for fuck sake, get out of the fucking gutter and stop being so fucking FAKE.

My students have rescued me for 13 years. I have learned to practice a principle , a spiritual principle of service, that showed me how to get out my fucking self obsessed self, and realize my problems and worries "aint shit, that on any given day, even sitting right here in a sober women's homeless shelter, I am grossly grossly over paid, and given me that level of gratitude which will always keep me closer to GOD. How can anyone ever repay such a gift, to the program, and then my students, for allowing me the practice. In reality, I was paid, so it was not true altruism, like being of service with other sponsee and women I work with to give to them what was so freely given to me, a design for living, and blueprint for success, spiritual success and a reprieve from the ravages of alcoholism and drug addiction, but the principle of service still works when you are collecting a pay check, btw.

But ,I also know from watching Leland, from what he did do...and he always donated land property and resources for Education, and that I know for sure. So, I can deduce that farmland and education are two things he valued highly.

Not rocket science today, thank God, by gods grace , super simple. Just goodness ,and Simple.

How fucking refreshing is that ?

Every time I set foot in the classroom, and had so much work to do, I forgot about my country going down the sewage porno cesspool or corruption, and all of the institutional resentments that plagued me my whole life...because I was putting on my boots suiting up and showing up and contributing what was within my reach to be part of the solution, in my own little way, which literally was my final column , end of day inventory life saver for decades.

Until is stopped working..until, having followed all of the policies and protocols right chains of command, professionalism etc, my end of day head o n my pillow peace and serenity was slipping away...it began to demand more action, outside of my classroom , school site and safety zone. It refused to allow me to see , and see again things like racist cultures , nepotistic corruption embezzlement, on and on and on and to just stick to my side of the street...because ethically my credential and education will not allow for that , which leads to feelings of discomfort within one's own skin that can not be lived in sober for long when you see the faces and families that are so desperate so marginalized so vulnerable, i have no choice but to take the right actions today for the right reasons regardless of the consequences, because I am comfortable in my skin and will not drink or pick up and use drugs and die today, behind all of the filthy grotesque evil bloody money actions crimes corruption that I will not wear, get near, co -sign ever. For me it would be like self hatred suicide and no criminals corruption crime personalities politico anyone by the grace of God will ever be worth more to me than my own life today.

I really wish I was crazy or on drugs ...but I am not.
